General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
With effect from 25 May 2018 the Renault Freres Club are committed to abiding by the new EU regulations that apply to us all in Europe. We are at present part of Europe and even after Brexit the law will remain precisely as it stands at present. There is a requirement for us to publish the club’s approved Privacy statement, which is shown below;

The ico (Information Commissioner’s Office) on behalf of the UK government have updated the manner in which personal information is handled. The Renault Frères Club are required under this new legislation, effective 25 May 2018, to have a Privacy Statement which reads as follows.
The Secretary, Membership Secretary, Direct Drive Editor and Club Archivist, on behalf of the Renault Frères Club, collect and maintain data concerning Club members: name, address, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and photos. In addition, where available, details of cars within the scope of the Club are also kept including the model, manufacturing numbers, registration number and known history. Members’ data is never sold and is solely used to send information to members that may be of interest to them concerning Club activities, regular magazines, adverts and other relevant information. It is a condition of membership that the Club holds this information, when leaving the Club all previous data will be deleted from the records. All records are password protected. The Club may produce for the committee and event organisers a list of members with contact details for use solely for Club activities. Any request for individual data information (e.g. contact details) will only be supplied to a member of the Renault Frères Club.
